These are the release notes for Viz Pilot Edge version 2.1.0. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since release 2.0.0.
Changes and New Features

In a custom layout, you can now browse for assets by clicking anywhere in their container (VPE-3921).
Fixed Issues

Hidden fields won't receive focus (VPE-3825).

Improved fields focus when using keyboard navigation (VPE-3824).

Tempered visual artifacts when closing a template containing a custom layout (VPE-3781).

No more blank space and scrollbar after resizing the browser window (VPE-3831 & VPE-3934).

Context menus, number sliders, and date pickers respond better when used in multiple tabs (VPE-3748).

Improved custom layout responsiveness (VPE-3797 & VPE-3935).

Read-only map thumbnails now display correctly (VPE-3891).
Known Issues

4K resolution images are not supported in Octopus 8 and Octopus X due to memory constraints (VPE-2412).

There are no known hardware limitations for Viz Pilot Edge, other than requirements stipulated by newsroom systems hosting the client.

Note: Viz Engine 4.2.0 is required to enable support for transition logic and combo templates.

Upgrading
When upgrading from a previous version of Pilot Edge, the previous version may still be presented by the host browser for a short time due to client side caching. To prevent this, clear the host browser cache. If you are using the default Internet Explorer host, open Internet Explorer, press CTRL + SHIFT + DEL, select Temporary Internet files and website files and click DELETE.
Important Notes

If there are any issues with map fields when running in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 +, remove include all local sites not listed in other zones and turn off detection of intranet zones in the IE11 policy settings. (VPE-2329)
